Due to some bad childhood experiences with dentists, I dreaded going to one, and therefore didn’t take good care of my teeth as an adult. I doubted that there was any such person as a “painless” dentist, but I was wrong. Dr. Zimmer made my visits very comfortable and he and his staff are very professional and caring people. I had to have several crowns done, including one on each of my two top front teeth. I sincerely dreaded this procedure, but my fears turned out to be unfounded and the end result amazing. I now smile a lot more and have had friends compliment me on how great my teeth look. Dr. Zimmer is a perfectionist in cosmetic dentistry, for which I am very thankful.

Enamel is 2-2.5mm before reaching dentin.

Great informative article. What about reshaping the surface of the tooth? How much room is there before the dentin becomes exposed?
